Formed back in 1998, The Mersey Regional Kidney Patients Support Group (MRKPSG - registered charity no. 1086258) was established by a group of renal nurses and patients at the Royal Liverpool Hospital
What do we do?
We do the above through a variety of ways such as

We are here for YOU, whether you are pre-dialysis, on dialysis (Peritoneal, in-centre/satellite/home haemodialysis) or transplanted)

What do we do?
- We help to provide relief for the persons resident in Merseyside [& North Cheshire] who are suffering from kidney problems & associated conditions
- We also give support & advice to such persons & their relatives & carers
- We help to advance the education of the public into the causes & treatment of kidney problems & associated conditions
We do the above through a variety of ways such as
- organising day trips for kidney patients & their carers/families
- fun events such as quizzes, Christmas parties
- running a phone advice service
- information website
- Regular monthly support meetings For patients & carers in a social setting to discuss any problems/worries or just to have a general chat and let off steam
- with occasional non-NHS equipment donations to renal units (e.g. TV remotes) for the benefit of the patients
